Leadership Development Workshop

With over 15 Sorors in attendance, the Leadership Development Committee conducted its third Leadership Development Workshop on Wednesday, June 18th at the Penn Hills Library. Soror Delphina Briscoe, Chairperson, and her committee, expanded on the theme of “The Heart of Leadership" by having Soror Westlynn Davis return with an interactive workshop. Through documents and activities, Soror Westlynn Davis conducted Part II of the Conflict Resolution Seminar highlighting the conflict styles and their consequences, ways to handle conflict, avoid dealing with conflict, and resolving conflict as a chapter leader. The hour long workshop was facilitated by Soror Fawn Robinson.
Over the past three months, the Leadership Committee provided monthly workshops to prepare sorors for leadership roles within the sorority while presenting transferable skills for their work within the community. In September, the Leadership Development Committee will begin another series of workshops.
