The Ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha  Sorority, Incorporated of Alpha Alpha Omega Chapter and the Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, Alpha Omicron Lambda Chapter celebrated Alpha Weekend 2008 during the Memorial Day Holiday with a host of great events.  On Friday, May, 23, Alpha Alpha Omega co-hosted the Skee-Phi Happy Hour and After Party at Sassie Marie’s which proved to be a night full of reuniting and dancing. Ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha cheered on the Alpha Brothers as they beat members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated in the Greek Basketball Tournament on Saturday afternoon at the Ammon Recreation Center.  The Black and Gold Soiree held on Sunday night was “Only for the Sophisticated!  A great crowd with a mixture of young and older adults enjoyed the evening as they mingled in their best black tie garments and enjoyed the classy style and ambiance of Bossa Nova. The weekend was capped off with a Family and Friends Cookout held at the Westinghouse Lodge on Memorial Day. There was lots of food, fun, music and entertainment for all ages.  All the proceeds from Alpha Weekend will go to benefit the Alpha Omicron Lambda Scholarship Fund.
