BOULE 2008 WASHINGTON, D.C. JULY 11-19, 2008 Attendees: Over 25,000 Sorors of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
"Were you There? Could you feel the sweet sweet spirit? Did everything stand still for you as it did for me? The Best of the Best were there! Finest of the Finest. The most successful African American women from around the globe are apart of our precious Sorority! The struggle of our founders showed it's progress. Women of all shades! Were you there to feel the excitement and the exuberance of our people? Did you say the prayer collectively? Were you in awe? Will you continue to be apart of the social action as well as the social change of our people? Our sisterly bonds are unparallel, this moment in history was a testament of that. Were you there to help set the tone for others to follow (Alpha Phi Alpha, Kappa Alpha Psi, Omega Psi Phi, Delta Sigma Theta, Phi Beta Sigma, Zeta Phi Beta, Sigma Gamma Rho, and Iota Phi Theta)? My sisters you were there because I was there!" ~Soror Tiffany Lumpkin, Alpha Alpha Omega Chapter, Pitsburgh, PA
